What is the Turkish tourist residence and its benefit?
Tourist residence in Turkey is a document in the form of a card granted by the Ministry of the Interior to tourists, allowing its holders to stay in Turkey for the duration of its validity and enter Turkey without papers or other required procedures such as visa, etc. Issuing a long-term visa or leaving and re-entering.

The applicant must not have come to Turkey with a commercial visa.

Steps for obtaining a tourist residence permit in Turkey:
Prepare all previous papers.
Go to the appointment on the specified date and place (THE APPOINTMENT WILL BE BOOKED BY THE AGENCY).
During the interview, the applicant must attend in person, and you can request a private translator free of charge.
After completing the interview and accepting your application,You will receive from the employee a document that you can carry around until the issuance of the tourist residence card.
The residency is issued within a maximum of 60 days, and it may be issued after a few days.
Then it is sent to the applicant's address or received from the mail of the municipality to which it belongs.
If the applicant is under the age of 18:
The parents must be present or the father must have a guardianship authorization certified by the notary public or the Turkish embassy in the country of residence.
- A birth certificate extracted from the embassy or consulate in Turkey, translated and certified, or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country.
- Or it can be substituted for the birth certificate by the family book, and it must also be certified by the same authorities mentioned above.

Some notes to know:
You cannot proceed to issuing a tourist residence permit if you exceed the legal period of your presence in the country, so it is preferable to start obtaining it as soon as you come to Turkey directly.
It is possible, but rarely happens, for the employee to request a bank statement of $6,000 or its equivalent.
Sometimes it is required that you be inside Turkey when you start processing your file.
In the event that you do not complete your papers, you may be given a 30-day opportunity to complete them, and if the applicant does not complete the incomplete papers, the application will be rejected.
The passport must be valid for 60 days longer than the period of stay, i.e. valid for one year and 60 days in the case of a one-year residency request.
It is not required to pay a sum of money to determine the date of stay.
The residence validity date starts from the visa expiry date, or upon request it starts from the date of submission.
In the case of renewal, the validity date of the residence permit starts from the date of expiry of the previous permit.
The Directorate General of Migration Management does not allow dealing with a party other than the applicant, so please attend the appointment yourself.
Personal photos must be taken no more than 6 months ago from the date of submission.
The residency is issued for a maximum of one or two years, and only Northern Cyprus citizens are allowed to issue a residency valid for 5 years.
